Notice of Race

Country Junior Regatta Exmouth. JJuly 11 - 13th 2026

Open to – Optimist & Open Ski9

For Competitors and Direct Family & Guardians of the above mentioned event, whom comply with below Rules and Eligibility. The Kalis family of Exmouth has kindly donated a dedicated campground at the Kalis Facilities, south of Exmouth & the EYC.

Camping is limited to 9th to the 14th of July 2026 inclusive.

Race Fees are $40 per Entrant & Camping fees per site for the 5 nights are $60.00 for site for entire regatta.

All monies for Registration and Camping are 100% dedicated towards EYC club hosting costs.

Cut o\ for Registration is June 30th 2026 – Upon receiving Registration, club will issue invoice and further Regatta detail. All monies to be settled at this time also with our thanks.

RULES

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Australian Sailing Special Regulations Part 2, the rules of the respective Classes (except as any of these are altered by the Sailing Instructions), and by the Sailing Instructions.

The Australian Sailing Prescriptions shall apply to all entries.
[SP] Australian Sailing Special Regulation Part 2 OG the Beach Boats, will apply. It is the

responsibility of all competitors to ensure that life jackets comply with a standard equivalent

to those listed in the regulations.

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

Competitors must be financial members of a yacht or sailing club aGiliated with Australian Sailing and hold a current Australian Sailing Number.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

July 9th & 10th – Sailors and families arrive Kalis Camp Ground & get settled – or at pre booked accommodations.

July 10th – 1700 hrs – EYC welcome event – Sausage sizzle and Bar facilities open. opportunity for Competitors to mingle and meet fellow sailors.

July 11th – Sign on 1000 hrs – Race Committee to confirm Start time – Weather / wind dependant. July 12th – Sign on 1000 hrs - Race Committee to confirm Start time - Weather / wind dependant.

July 13th – Sign on 1000 hrs – Un regatta Race – Club House out and back Marathon fun Race. 1730 hrs Regatta Presentation commences.

MEASUREMENT

All competing boats/boards shall conform to the measurement requirements of their respective class rules

Boats shall comply with RRS 78 and may be subject to an equipment inspection at any time during the event.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk.
It is each competitor’s decision to enter the Event or to start and continue in any race.

Competitors shall accept that their participation in the Event is at their exclusive risk in every aspect. By way of entry in the Event competitors must indemnify the Organising Authority their OGices, members, staG, volunteers and agents in respect to all claims and demands of whatever nature which may be made upon them in connection with or howsoever arising from their participation or intended participation in the Event.

Competitors are responsible for the seaworthiness of the boat that they are sailing and for the suGiciencyandadequacyofitsequipmentfortheprevailingconditions. TheOrganising Authority their oGices, members, staG, volunteers and agents accept no responsibility in respect to loss of life, personal injury or loss or damage of property which may be sustained by reason of their participation or intended participation in the Event howsoever arising in connectionwiththeEvent. CompetitorattentionisdrawntoRRS3–DecisiontoRace.“The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a ace or to continue racing is hers alone”
